SAN ANTONIO CURRENT: Morning Acequia Hike Along San Juan Acequia
As part of Latino Conservation Week, join in for Morning Acequia Hike Along the San Juan Acequia! Saturday, July 16th, from 8am to 11am. Meet at Padre Park- 6515 Padre Dr. San Antonio, Texas 78214. Hike with the group on this educational 6-mile round trip walk along Mission San Juan’s historic acequias. Halfway through the hike the group will meet Mission San Juan and if you would like to stay to explore the mission before turning around to return to Padre Park with the group you may do that. Latino Outdoors will provide refreshments and snacks prior to the hike. Free.

Starting with the Latino Conservation Week Kick-Off Fiesta tonight at Wheaton Regional Park and ending with the Flying Squirrels at Brookside Nature Center next Friday! There is a jam packed week of fun and Montgomery Parks is inviting all Latinos in the County to come, celebrate, learn, and share your love of our planet and Mother Earth! All the events are free and some events require registration.

ST. GEORGE — Encouraging a connection with and excitement for the environment is the focus of Washington County’s Latino Conservation Week.
Sponsor organization Conserve Southwest Utah will offer free daily activities July 17-23 to celebrate Southern Utah’s panoramic places, such as the Red Cliffs National Conservation Area and the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. All events are family-friendly and open to everyone.
