Held on Thursday, October 2, the ICON Awards recognized six categories of leadership—spanning small business, innovation, philanthropy, and community impact. Rosas was selected for his exceptional dedication to empowering faith-based communities to become stewards of our natural resources.
“I’m deeply humbled to receive this recognition alongside so many inspiring community leaders across the Inland Empire,” said Rosas. “This award isn’t about one person, it’s a reflection of the incredible pastors, volunteers, partners, and families who work every day to care for our communities and God’s creation. Through Por La Creación, we’re proving that faith and service go hand in hand—from the barrios to the backcountry, from the river to the desert.”
Por La Creación Faith-Based Alliance, an initiative of Hispanic Access Foundation, educates and empowers stewards of God’s creation to conserve our natural environment and leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Composed of Latino faith leaders from across the United States, Por La Creación inspires and equips Latino communities to actively engage in protecting the nation’s natural resources. This work reflects Hispanic Access Foundation’s mission to connect Latino communities with opportunities that improve lives and foster a deep sense of stewardship.
“Juan’s faith-driven leadership and unwavering commitment to service exemplify what it means to lead with heart,” said Maite Arce, President and CEO of Hispanic Access Foundation. “His efforts have empowered pastors and families across the Inland Empire to see environmental stewardship as both a spiritual calling and a community responsibility. We are thrilled to see him receive this well-deserved recognition.”
Rosas extended gratitude to his family, mentors, and colleagues, including the SoCal Network of the Assemblies of God, Arce, and Franklin Rivera, Vice President and Community Manager at JPMorgan Chase, for their support and shared dedication to elevating voices of service across the region.
