Category: News Releases

Washington, D.C. – Hispanic Access Foundation is pleased to announce the expansion of the team with the addition of Veronica Delgado as the Government Affairs Manager. In her role, she will develop and execute strategies to advocate for the interests of the Latino community at the federal, state, and local levels and support Latino communities, organizations, families, and individuals in becoming advocates for themselves and their communities around the issues that impact their daily lives.

She has an impressive track record of excelling in different roles at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, bridging the gap between members of Congress, stakeholders, and the Latino community.

“My own life experiences and what I've learned while working with the community are what drive my deep commitment to the Hispanic Access Foundation's mission,” said Delgado. “I'm determined to do more than just uplift Latino voices; I want to empower them with the influence they rightfully deserve in important decision-making. I hope that future generations won't have to face the same hardships that our community has endured."

Delgado holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Practical Policy and Politics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in International Relations at American University.

“Veronica’s passion for addressing disparities the Latino community faces and commitment to ensuring their voices are heard will help advance the Hispanic Access Foundation’s mission of connecting Latinos and others with partners and opportunities to improve lives and create an equitable society,” said Maite Arce, president and CEO of the Hispanic Access Foundation. "She is just the person we need to amplify our advocacy work and make sure Latinos are influential in the decision-making process to increase our impact."
