Hispanic Access Launches ‘Prepare Yourself for a Better Future’ Financial Education Project

Category: News Releases

Hispanic Access Foundation is partnering with Thrivent Financial, with support from the Nasdaq Foundation, to launch a financial and investment training program to Spanish-Speaking Latinos at four sites served by Latino churches in California. The program is a 12-month initiative with the goal of helping at least 750 Latino adults improve their financial literacy.

“Latinos are important contributors to the U.S. economy, but lack personal financial knowledge due to various access barriers–transportation, time, money, childcare” said Maite Arce, president and CEO of Hispanic Access Foundation. “I’m excited to launch this program to meet Latinos in the U.S. where they are at and break these barriers so they can improve their livelihood.”

For the project, Hispanic Access is establishing four workshop sites that will hold 10 total trainings by partnering with local church leaders to reach communities who need it the most. Three trainings have already taken place in February and March 2023, and the remainder will be held at:
