HAF Welcomes New MANO Project Program Associate

Washington, D.C. – Hispanic Access Foundation is pleased to announce the hiring of Anastasia Hernandez, who will serve as a MANO Project Program Associate. In her role, she will assist with the MANO Project’s core purpose of connecting, building and developing thoughtful Latino leaders who share a passion for serving and strengthening their communities.

“I am truly looking forward to being a part of an established market leader in the nonprofit sector, whose mission is to improve the lives of Latinos in the United States and promote civic engagement by establishing bridges of access that provide a path for the development and rise of Latino leaders and elevates their voices in areas where they are underrepresented,” said Hernandez. “It’s an amazing feeling to become a contributor to the growth of HAF as we continue to expand on the service that our organization has contributed to the Latino community.” 

Hernandez earned her Master’s of Business Administration with a focus in global commerce and her Bachelor of Arts from Virginia Wesleyan University. While pursuing her degree, Hernandez was also a developing founder and member of the Hispanic Student Alliance at her university. HSA aims to bring awareness about the Hispanic culture, history, and language to the university through different cultural, educational, social, and political activities and events. 

“Hernandez’s extensive experience in staffing solutions and placing diverse talent in hundreds of roles will make her a great asset to our team,” says Maite Arce, president and CEO of Hispanic Access Foundation. “Hernandez’s dedication to bringing awareness of Hispanic culture will be fundamental to helping HAF’s continued mission of connecting Latinos and others with partners and opportunities to improve lives and create an equitable society.” 

Prior to joining HAF, Hernandez worked in human resources for Aerotek ensuring clients received superior human resources and customer support services regarding all correspondences, maintaining compliance and financial reports, conducting new hire orientation and onboarding processes, and assisting with the administration of all employee benefits programs with the objective of maintaining positive customer relationships with organizations and employees. Hernandez resides in Virginia Beach, VA.
