Our Networks

Hispanic Access Foundation's Networks

Throughout the year, Hispanic Access Foundation trains, mobilizes, and builds community among Latino leaders around the country. Hispanic Access leverages and elevates the expertise, talent, and passion of our young, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color professional networks to develop a shared narrative around environmental justice, workforce development, health, finance, and immigration. We also ensure that progress includes a holistic focus on impacts on the most vulnerable communities. With a diverse pool of experts, Hispanic Access' leadership networks have been able to form and create substantial contributions to the knowledge, direction, and movement of policy and program work in our expert areas.

2023 ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY TOOLKIT: Impacts and Solutions for Latino Communities

This toolkit was created to show the importance of environmental policy to Latinos across the U.S., from the states to the territories. Latino communities across the United States are experiencing disproportionate health and economic impacts of poor air quality, extreme heat and aridification, wildfires, drought, storms, and other severe effects of the climate crisis, in addition to the alarming loss of nature throughout the country. Yet, the Latino community's overwhelming support for nature and climate action can show our leaders the way forward in ensuring a just transition to an economy that protects our climate, homes, health, and jobs.

About

In fall 2022, Hispanic Access Foundation, in collaboration with American Rivers, asked our staff, leadership networks, and colleagues to write a love letter to a waterway that is important to them. We are using these love letters and videos to show the media, decision-makers, and the public how important clean water is to our Latino communities and how important healthy waterways are to the health of our lands, climate, and ocean.
