How many check-ins do I need to complete during my internship with my Program Associate?
Interns and fellows are required to scheduled check-in calls with their Program Associate on a monthly basis until the internship or fellowship concludes. You may easily book an appointment wiht your Program Associate via youcanbook.me. Youcanbook.me links can be found in Program Associates' email signatures and on the "Resources" page. We strongly recommend bookmarking the link(s) your convenience.
How does the Google Listserv work?
The Listserv is an opportunity for you to stay up to date with the latest MANO Project related news, including future programming and information on future job opportunities. Your Program Associate will add you to the MANO Intern Listserv at the beginning of your internship/fellowship and transition your email to the MANO Alumni Listserv when you complete your term.
What is an IDP?
An IDP, or Individual Development Plan, is a structured tool to use to take action towards achieving your professional and career goals. The IDP is one piece of your overall professional or career goals, identifying activities you can engage in to develop your knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies.
How many blog posts do I have to submit during my internship?
The number of blog posts required per internship position varies. The number of blog posts required for your unique position has been shared during your pre-internship orientation and has been written into your intern contract. You can also inquire through your Program Associate. Your Program Associate will email you calendar reminder due dates for each required blog post via Google Calendar invitations. Please, reach out to your Program Associate if you need to further confirm these due dates.
How do I submit my blog post?
STEP ONE
Log into our blog submission portal. Please contact your Program Associate if you have not received your log-in information.
STEP TWO
Complete the required fields, enter your blog’s text, upload at least one photo, and select submit when you are ready to post. See our blog guidelines for more information on text and photo requirements.
Am I eligible for a retirement plan such as a 401K or IRA?
Temporary employees are not eligible for retirement plans through Hispanic Access Foundation.
Am I eligible for an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?
Temporary employees are not eligible for an EAP through Hispanic Access Foundation.
Am I eligible for worker’s comp?
Yes. During your program, work-related injuries are covered under Hispanic Access’ Workers Compensation policy. If you experience a workplace injury, please contact your Program Associate ASAP.
Can I have a dependent on my health plan?
We are not able to extend health insurance coverage to dependents since this would incur an additional expense.
