Education is a critical centerpiece of our mission.  We believe education is the key to building a better life.

Hispanic Student Growth

The number of Hispanic students in the nation’s public schools nearly doubled from 1990 to 2006, accounting for 60 percent of the total growth in public school enrollments over that period, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. There are now approximately 10 million Hispanic students in the nation’s public K-12 education system. By 2050, there will be more school-age Hispanic children than school-age non-Hispanic white children.

Latino parents place a high value on college education – even more so than white parents.

By encouraging parents to take an active role, understanding financial aid possibilities, providing referrals to after-school programs and tutors, or educating the community on the need to support Latino students, we aim to improve educational outcomes among Hispanics. With the growth of the Hispanic population, it’s imperative that we help them earn their key to success.
