Position Name:  Business Analyst Intern - Procurement
Location: Central Office (Alexandria, VA)
Education Level Required: Undergraduate or Graduate Level Intern
Earliest Start Date:  June 4, 2018
Field of Study: Undergraduate education pursuing a degree in business administration, economics, finance, and accounting or similar path such as mathematics.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; strong verbal and written communication skills; problem solving skills; ability to work with team members of diverse backgrounds; ability to work with imperfect data or information.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Closeout (80%)
    The incumbent will assist DPFM contracting officers with identification and closeout of expired contracts.  This task includes but is not limited to the following:  accessing and analyzing financial reports from Delphi; printing invoice payment records; identifying the amount of any unexpended funds; verifying or identifying by phone and/or email a contractor point of contact; preparing a contract modification in MS Word for review by a contracting officer; distributing modifications to contractor’s and obtaining contractor signature; preparing contracts for shipment to records center.
     
  2. NCUA PRISM Vendor Table Management (20%)
    The incumbent will compare NCUA vendor table entries to the System for Award Management (SAM) for accuracy.  Task includes but is not limited to the following:  accessing and analyzing PRISM vendor table information; accessing the System for Award Management; recommending changes to NCUA vendor information to mirror SAM whenever NCUA vendor information conflicts with SAM; requesting W-9 and bank routing information from prospective contractors who are not in SAM.
